(L to R) Manish Dayal, Gregg Sulkin, Booboo Stewart (center), Justin Martin and Tyler Posey

Booboo Stewart (Twilight Saga) stars in the upcoming film White Frog. This powerful drama, by directorQuentin Lee (The People I’ve Slept With, Shopping for Fangs), boasts some of the most influential and recognizable Asian American talent today, including B.D. Wong (Law and Order), Harry Shum, Jr.(Glee), Joan Chen (this year’s Festival Spotlight Honoree), Justin Martin (The Soloist), Manish Dayal(Beverly Hills 90210) and Kelly Hu (Hawaii Five O, X-Men2).

The film’s plot summary below.
An emotional teen drama with comedy and heart, White Frog stars Booboo Stewart as high-school freshman Nick, a young boy with Asperger’s syndrome who is often neglected and misunderstood by his seemingly perfect family. When tragedy suddenly strikes, Nick is forced out of his comfort zone, and into finding the strength he needs to survive.

I had a chance to talk with Booboo Stewart about his role in White Frog. My brief interview below.

Paulette: Did you know about Asperger’s Syndrome before you read the script for White Frog?
Booboo: No. I’ve heard of autism but not Asperger’s in particular.

Paulette: How did you prepare for the role of playing someone with Asperger’s? Did you meet with people with the disorder before filming?
Booboo: The director, Quentin Lee, and I discussed the character but I gained the majority of my insight and ideas of how to portray “Nick” by reading blogs on the Internet posted by people suffering from Asperger’s.

Paulette: What do you hope audiences will take away from the film?
Booboo: Well, the MAIN message is that everyone should be comfortable being themselves. Just be the best “YOU” that you can be.

White Frog stills and trailer posted below.

White Frog will have its world premiere as the OPENING FILM of the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival on Thursday, March 8th, 2012 @ 7PM. The film will play at the historic Castro theater. For ticket info click HERE.

Booboo Stewart talks about life as a movie star

He recently turned 18-years-old and he's already a rising star in Hollywood.

Central Florida on Demand: Booboo Stewart

Booboo Stewert reveals Twilight magic

Orlando -- The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I comes out on DVD Feb. 11. One of the werewolves stopped by our studios to give us the inside scoop on the film, his surprising new role, and why he was jumping on a bed near Eminem.

Eighteen-year-old Booboo Stewart stopped by Monday after spending most of the day at SeaWorld. His father was with him along with several women from his public relations team.

The following is a slice of our chat. You can watch the EXTENDED INTERVIEW starting Tuesday exclusively on Ch. 300!

ALLISON WALKER: Before we get to Breaking Dawn, tell me a bit about your experience on Eminem's music video. What was that like?

BOOBOO STEWART: I was, like, 9 or so and we're jumping on a bed. Michael Jackson's bed! [laughing] Me and two other boys.

AW: What was something that went on in Breaking Dawn that you wish all of us watching had known about?

BS: In every single scene I was in, it was freezing cold. Everyone would be gathered around the heater. I remember one time I was sitting with ["Leah Clearwater"] and I was smelling something. I was like, 'What's that smell?' Her jacket was melting because she was standing too close to the heater!

AW: Let's talk about the werewolf transformations. Can you reveal some of that magic?

BS: I wish I got to do something for that but I actually didn't have to do anything. It was all the CG team. They just created all the wolves themselves. I think they looked incredible. They looked really good.

Booboo also told me about his relationship with the other Twilight actors since filming wrapped. Also, find out what he just did at a local Orlando theme park, and why he got his sister's name wrong during our interview. Check it out starting TUESDAY on Ch. 300. Just click on the Movies & Music Section, then Celebrities.

Interview With the Werewolf: Booboo Stewart

by Lauren Harby

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of interviewing Twilight actor Booboo Stewart to promote to DVD release of Breaking Dawn: Part 1. Stewart, 18, was cast as the role of Seth Clearwater appearing first in Eclipse. Other than acting, Stewart is also an experienced musician.

Clad in a plaid t-shirt, donning a white watch and various other forms of bracelets on his wrist, Booboo’s sense of style reflected his personality - laid back and down to earth. Once we got familiar with our surroundings, I began my interview:

What was your initial reaction when you gained the role in Eclipse?
BS: I auditioned for the part, and there wasn’t anything for a month, and then I got the call saying I got the part. It was pretty intense, after a month of waiting I didn’t think I’d get it…when my agent told me I got the part, I was screaming.

How did it feel to work with such big names (Kristen and Rob) on the project?
It was really crazy to think that you’re on the set with some of the biggest stars…We don’t call each other to hang out, but when we see each other we are on good terms.

Who did you hang out with on set the most?
I hung out with the crew most of the time because they’re so nice in Canada.

How much more of Seth will we get to see in Breaking Dawn Part 2?
I actually have no idea. There are so many new characters involved in the franchise. You’ll get to meet a lot of more people.

What is your favorite movie?
Goodfellas….and A Bug’s Life!

If you had to chose between acting and singing, which would you chose?
It would be acting. Because then I could still play a singer in a movie.

Where do you see yourself when you’re 50?
It would be really cool to be directing movies.

Who’s your favorite lyrical artist?
Weezer, I love their lyrics. Bowling for Soup, the lyrics are very funny.

Team Edward of Team Jacob?
This is really hard. I have to pull a Team Switzerland on this one!

How was it like to tour with Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers?
It was really cool to be surrounded with these people. I’m actually going back out on tour in March with my sister, Fivel. The tour is called the Digitour. It’s a tour of different Youtube artists, luckily we have been picked.

What projects do you have coming up, besides the tour?
When I come back from the tour, I’m actually going to be filming a horror movie, in 3D!

Breaking Dawn: Part 1 is currently out on DVD. You can catch Stewart in the final installment of the Twilight Saga in Breaking Dawn: Part 2 out on November 16th 2012.
